Rap Music
I love rap music, I’ve loved it since the 80′s… but as I get older I find it harder to get into it as I did back in the day, and I am not alone I guess… because what I liked after I was hooked into the beats was the the political rap, the music that came with a message, the music that was good for the soul and provided food for thought. Chris Rock sums it up pretty good in this video in which he talks about where rap was, and where it is now.
I could not get into all the new acts, maybe except Kanye West, but I wrote this post today because I came across an artist yesterday who calls himself The Narcicyst, an Arab Canadian originally from Iraq but born in the UAE, and po-liti-cal as political rap can be, and if I know something about rap, I know how to separate the game from the truth… and this is the truth, son!
This is the video that got me hooked and I started to google everything Narcy as he calls himself
I found this website which provided me with about three albums of free music, enough to quench a thirst that has been created by years of garbage that hip-hop is enduring at the moment.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I too find it difficult enjoying rap anymore! Is it age? Could be, but I don’t think so. It’s so ironic that I listen to rock nowadays more than rap! A music genre that I used to hate so much seems to be a better alternative for me. I’m hooked to Staind’s new album, especially a joint called “break away”.
I have to agree that Kanye West is one of the “listenable” rappers, and if I may I would add “Common” too.

Ali, Common is old… he used to be “Common Sense” back in the day, his first album was in 92. Check out Narcy, I am sure u will like him
