Father

I’ve been following Qusai’s songs/career since I heard his first song “Jeddah” in 2002/2003, and I wrote my take on his Experimental Edutainmet album on my Arabic blog (I think it was rushed and a little disappointing and his earlier works were better), but this song about fathers, brings tears to my eyes.

Update: New official video here

    Nice…
But not in “I want to listen to it again” way! :)

I know, that is why I said I felt like the album and the songs were rushed, plus a fancy pants like u who is only satisfied with “sophistimacated” music like opera… this is hard for you to swollow :) LOL

      Thanks for the comments Saud

It is a beautiful song, and sentiment, which the visuals enhance. To some extent the relationship is similar father to daughter, in terms of being the provider and imparting life lessons about decision-making and integrity, but it is truly special father to son, and must affect men as both sons and (future) fathers. Thanks.

Thanks Chiara, this is probably one of the few songs that appreciates fathers. This is not the official video from the artist, but a video made by a fan of his.

Like he said: With all the attention and credit to the mothers, there are very few songs for fathers. He did do a song for the mothers as well.

Off topic, can you think again about putting two rows of “recent posts” in the top? It kind of belittles the main content of the page. Just a suggestion.
