Saudi Filmmakers

I recently saw a post by my friend Murthada in his amazing blog (Saudi Alchemist) about a short film made by his friends in Oregon, and if you’ve been following this blog then you would know how much I like that stuff, so I created a group on Vimeo and called it Saudi Filmmakers in an effort to encourage and bring all these old and new productions in one place where I and others can view them without looking all over the place and where people can get to know the work of these talented individuals and teams.

I’ve sent invitations to the filmmakers on Vimeo that I know of, if you know of others who are on Vimeo and I missed them, and I am sure I missed a few, or if you know of others that use other sites to showcase their work please let me know about them.

I will continue to promote their work through my blogs and through Divan Magazine, I do think that we will see an increase in these productions, and then they will move on to bigger and better films and productions… I just have this feeling.

  2. <3333 my heart goes out to your vimeo group :D

  3. Great idea to create the group! And the title is a self-fulfilling prophesy I hope, ie that as you say, these short films will be the prelude to longer works, both arthouse and feature.

This will both facilitate and extend my opus in progress… LOL :) :D

    • Thanks :) they are out there, I just want to… kinda bring them all together somehow, we have to have filmmakers to tell our stories.
